The City of Maysville's legislative body is the Board of Commissioners, which consists of Mayor David Cartmell, and Commissioners Rick Litton, Johnny Mains, Judy Pfeffer, and Kelly Ashley.
The Board of Commissioners meets on the second Thursday, of each month at 5:15 p.m., at Maysville Municipal Building, 216 Bridge Street, Maysville, KY 41056
Maysville, the county seat of Mason County, is situated on the south bank of the Ohio River in the northeastern portion of Kentucky. Maysville is located 51 miles southeast of Cincinnati, Ohio; 65 miles north of Lexington, Kentucky; 135 miles northeast of Louisville, Kentucky; and 154 miles west of Charleston, West Virginia.
