Codes Enforcement
Any owners or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, remodel or change occupancy of a building, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit.
For information on codes enforcement permits, please contact Gary Wells, who inspects all residential and commercial construction and will issue the Certificate of Occupancy when the project is completed.

Other applications, including Remodeling, Building Additions Demolition, Swimming Pools, and Certificate of Occupancy are available at the Codes Enforcement Office, 216 Bridge St., Lower Level. Nuisance Enforcement Officer
Codes Officer Jack Fultz is responsible for overseeing the enforcement of nuisance codes including junk vehicles and excessive vegetation growth.
